Here’s yet another shirt from my friend Graham, who just joined the rest of the civilized world and is now on Facebook. Do not be mislead into thinking this is a long sleeve shirt. It’s getting chilly in Wisconsin so I wore a long sleeve shirt underneath and ate soup. The shirt is a Starter T-shirt of Ki-Jana Carter, the poster boy along with Tony Mandarich for draft pick busts. Sorry for not posting any new (used) shirts yesterday. I spent a good portion of the day getting my face tugged and distorted in order to put a temporary crown on one of my back teeth. All they had left was gold-colored, so now I’m going to look like a used car salesman for the next two weeks. After this I’m scheduled for a root canal and possibly two more crowns. I don’t get it. I brush my teeth at least twice a day, haven’t had soda in 12 years, and yet I have bicuspids and molars practically falling out of my face.

I found this shirt at the Whitefish Bay women’s club rummage sale, and immediately knew it was a classic. The shirt compares the Pabst Mansion (with an exclamation point) to famous buildings Monticello, Versailles and Buckingham Palace. The Pabst Mansion was built and lived in by (duh) Pabst Brewery founder Frederick Pabst.
At some point the Pabst Mansion housed the Catholic archbishop before it was converted into a museum. I lived a block away from it for two years in college, but I only passed it on the way to concerts. Now I wish I would have stopped in sometime.
