Everyone I know hates those fucking “Saved by Zero” ads. I just Googled “I hate saved by zero.” Go ahead. Try it. You’ll find responses like “makes viewers into victims,” “wrist-slitting” and “get Toyota’s ‘Saved by Zero’ commercial off the air before I harm myself.” The good news is the ads are supposed to end SUNDAY. At least nationally. It’s about damn time, Toyota. But for true quality entertainment, go to Tastes Like Chicken, which donated this shirt. (Text: “I like my coffee l ike my women: Sixteen years old.”) And thanks to Pegs for modeling!

That’s right. I’m wearing a 150th anniversary of Miller Brewing T-shirt but holding up a Cream City Pale Ale from Lakefront Brewery. I’ve written about Miller High Life and Lakefront owner Russ Klisch. It’s all Milwaukee beers to me. Also, did I mention I have a beer and fitness blog? True story.

If you haven’t seen it already, Teecycle.org got a shout-out in this week’s Savage Love. Now I get to share my Dan Savage story.
A few years ago I interviewed him for this article. During the course of the interview, Dan casually dropped the term “buttfucking” into the conversation to explain a concept in his new book. Prior to this, I’d interviewed minor presidential candidates, an archbishop, Chuck Palahniuk, dairy farmers, Randall Simon after he whacked our weiner, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, and a bunch of other people I forget about. In other words, a broad cross-section of humanity. And to that point in my journalism career, no one had ever casually used the term “buttfucking” in an interview. Until now.
I met Dan when he came to town for a talk and book signing at Harry W. Schwartz. I explained to him about the novelty of the interview for me. He signed the book to my wife and I and wrote, “To Tim and Jess - I hope I was gentle with Tim in his first ‘buttfucking.’ -Dan.”

Ah, New Glarus Uff-Da Boch beer. This blogger calls it “mighty tasty.” He doesn’t lie. As for the shirt, I think the designers may be ripping off the Hash House Harriers, whose motto is “A drinking group with a running problem.” I once did a beer run with a local HHH chapter, which consisted of jogging a mile and slamming a beer after each lap. Another time, I ran with them while half the group wore wedding dresses. True stories.

Thanks to Emily for modeling this Koala shirt!
P.S. I know that many of you are in London, Denmark and all over the world. But I also know that some of you are just around the corner. Just yesterday a dude who lives a mile away from me bought the Star Wars shirt below. Ironically, his name was Luke. It would have been farther to go to the post office, so I just dropped it off at his apartment and met him in person. He’s a very cool guy who found the site by Googling “T-shirts” and “Milwaukee.”
So if you’re in the area, stop by Sprecher Brewery tonight and have a Firkin beer with me. It’ll be an early birthday present. Prosit!

Jess has made it no secret that she despises when I have a beard. She repeatedly threatens to shave it off in my sleep (I’m a heavy sleeper). Once, she charged at me with a safety razor. Fortunately, I was able to overpower her.
While my beard may be kinda dirty, Teecycle shirts are not. We wash every shirt, whether it’s from a Marco Island, Florida, thrift store (like this one) or worn to chill at Benji’s Deli in Shorewood (who has tasty Challah bread).

Text on back reads “A Suburbs Production” in the same font and color as the front.
Thanks to Ryan Miller from Indie Soundcheck for the T-shirt, and thanks to Culver’s for the delicious 2% milk. I also ordered a mushroom swiss burger, cookie dough custard and green beans for dinner. This might very well be the first time in history that exact combination of foods has been ordered at the Culver’s in Shorewood, Wis.

If you’ve been watching the Olympics and rooting for Singapore, we’ve got the shirt for you. Unfortunately, you’d have to go back to 1960 in Rome for the last time an athlete from Singapore (Singaporian?) made it to the medal stand. Tan Howe Liang earned a silver for his efforts in “lightweight weightlifting.” But this may finally be the year Singapore ends their medal drought. According to Wikipedia:
Singapore is sending a big contingent to the Beijing Olympics, and many feel that with many ‘home’ players in Singapore’s squad, this is their best chance of winning a medal since 1960.
Now just like Cara, the front desk guru at Invivo, you can get this shirt, cheer for Singapore and let everyone know you backed Singapore back before all the poseurs did.
