So, I’m going to my good friend Jordan’s bachelor party in Denver, and then I’m biking back to Milwaukee. It’ll just be me, my bike, some butt balm and whatever else fits in my satchel. My bike rack won’t exactly have room for all my t-shirts. (Obviously.)
By all means, feel free to peruse the current stock while I’m gone, but I’m going to be posting any new (used) shirts or shipping them out until I get back in Mil-a-wauk-ay. Right now, I’m planning on that date being Aug. 10, give or take a day or two.
In the meantime, feel free to track my progress at Training With Tim, and get the backstory of the ride here. Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect in a few weeks: Fitness and t-shirts with photographer Kat Berger!

A robe, of course. Duh.

But if he lived some 2,000 years later, he’d probably wear a teecycle shirt. Or maybe a teecycle robe. (Robecycle?) I gotta get on that in time for Jesus’s return.
“Jesus is in the photo,” explained Erin, who is pictured with Jesus, “because he approves of the good work you’re doing and wanted to show his appreciation for your keeping awesome shirts out of not-so-awesome landfills.”
Erin, who does her own Jesus-approved Good Works as outreach coordinator for Friends of Milwaukee Rivers, bought her Let’s Go Korea shirt from me, which I then delivered to her via bicycle. Since I also bought the t-shirt via bicycle, this is pretty much a Zero Carbon Emissions T-shirt™.
Jesus is actually Adam Werlein of local hip hop/jazz combo The Flow. (Fooled you, didn’t I?) Erin and Adam were recently in a production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
Also: If you have photos of yourself in your new (used) teecycle shirt, feel free to add them to the Show Us Your Teecycle! photo pool. Kthanksbye!

I’ve got a frisbee game at noon and I’m bartending the Summer Soulstice at 4, so I hope I can squeeze in this event somewhere. Sounds pretty awesome. Fasten has the right idea.

Do you live in the Milwaukee area? Do you have something you’d like promote? Do you know how to wear a T-shirt?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you may be Teecycle.org’s next top model. Of course, none of those are necessarily prerequisites to model. We have pretty lax standards. That’s how I got myself to model.
If interested, email tim (at) teecycle (dot) org for more details.

I am indebted to Beer City for this shirt, which I uncovered in a bin at Goodwill. My favorite item of theirs is a tote bag that proclaims “I’m from Milwaukee and that’s not funny.” It’s not funny because it’s true!
A few years ago I met the founder, Rick Keppler. He’s the kind of guy who if he accidentally finds himself in the wrong room, he convinces everyone else that they’re in the wrong room. He did that in school, and I wrote about it here.
You can also follow Beer City’s twitter feed here.

Coming soon to teecycle.org…

Oh yes, this is just a small, small portion of the awesome we have in store for you.
It’s been a hell of a week for teecycle.org. We sold our first shirts, received our first international orders and got shout outs from the New York Times, Keith Olbermann and the Huffington Post.
Oh, wait. What I meant was The Marquette Tribune, Tcritic.com, T-Shirts Around the Internet and Kramp and Alder on FM 102.1. Oh wait, that was just me blabbing about teecycle on the radio. Read all about Teecycle in the news… and in your drawers on Brian’s blog.
As for previews, follow me on twitter or subscribe via email or RSS feed (links on the right) to get updated every time a new (used) shirt is added.
Finally, teeview: No more beard.
