Extreme Warfare Revenge is a series of professional wrestling platform introduced by Adam Ryland, a British programmer. Each version of the game is the updated version of the previous one. The series include:
- Classic Extreme Warfare:
It was the first series of stardew valley fighter or scout that was introduced in 1995. The collectible card with the wrestling theme allowed the user to decide the location of the matches and as well as who is going to win keeping in mind the financial elements like the wages of the wrestlers.
- Extreme Warfare Deluxe:
Extreme Warfare Deluxe was released on April 1, 2001. It was not the upgraded version of the first version of Extreme Warfare Revenge but instead was created all new. However, it was improved in the context of actual game world as data base could now be hired by any promotion.
- Extreme Warfare Revenge:
Extreme Warfare Revenge was released on June 15, 2002 allowing the user to easily play on Windows. The major change in this version was that the user could control the wrestling event. Moreover, the way the game world was represented, the similar the way the game was played by the user. Between June 2002 to July 2003, many upgraded versions were introduced for example bringing in the Tv time slot system, launching tag teams with statistics portraying matches fought with particular player, introducing gimmicks and adapting independent promotions.
Ryan sooner signed the contract with the simulator game company, 400 Software Studios and produced another series of commercial games but this time, Ryan decided to turn his hobby in to commercial venture.
- Total Extreme Warfare 2004:
Total Extreme Warfare 2004 was released on March 31, 2004. The user had to first purchase before downloading. This version particularly focused on the wrestling scenes around the world including UK, Australia, Japan and Mexico. The user could now see the booked promotions as well as the financial details. Multi player feature was introduced too.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2005:
It was the sequel of Total Extreme Warfare 2004 that was released on October 6, 2005. The user could now book in advance knowing more about the upcoming events. Graphics were improved making it more realistic and customization feature was added too with stardew valley fighter or scout.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2007:
Total Extreme Wrestling 2007 was released on December 29, 2006 being built on top of the previous version’s source code. Customizing merchandise was a prominent change in this version.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2008:
Total Extreme Wrestling 2008 was released on June 7, 2008. The player could easily import and convert the previous version’s database.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2010:
Total Extreme Wrestling 2010 was released on January 25, 2010. This version focused more on improving the interface and reducing the time to book the show as well as navigation.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2013:
Total Extreme Wrestling 2013 was released on December 16, 2012. To make the game look realistic, features like Autobooker, Legacies, Fog of War, Shoot interview and many more were presented.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2016:
Total Extreme Wrestling 2016 was released on May 2, 2016. Similar to the previous version, the developer focused more on realism and backstage cliques.
- Total Extreme Wrestling 2020:
This is the latest version of Extreme Warfare that has been released on May 15, 2020. The game is now much enhanced in terms of sharpness, quality and speed. One of the utmost features of the version is having control over house shows and playing as company’s territory.
