  • Keep a food diary – We put lots of different food into our bodies every single day and sometimes we enjoy some snacks that we forget about later. You can keep tabs on everything that you consume so that you can know the amount of calories that you’re putting into your body every single day. You need to be more aware of foods that are high in sugar, salt and healthy fats. By keeping a food diary, you keep on top of your calorie intake and this should help you to lose the pounds.
  • Get moving again – The sedentary lifestyle that we currently enjoy catches up on us after a time and sitting in that armchair and in the evening every night when you come from work to enjoy your evening meal is not conducive to losing weight. It may be difficult to motivate yourself after working hard all day but you need to either get some gym membership or you need to put on your running/walking shoes when you come home and just get out there and exercise.
  • Increase your water consumption – Many of us here in Australia don’t drink enough water every single day and particularly since we live in a very hot climate. Try to carry a bottle of water with you at all times because if it is in your hand, you will remember to take a sip throughout the day.

If you follow these suggestions then there is no reason why you won’t be able to shift that stubborn fat soon.
