A copier machine is one of the essential pieces of equipment in any workplace. Hence, as a worker, you must learn how to operate it because you’ll be required to produce copies now and then. With that said, below is a step by step guide on how to use a photocopier machine:
- Turn on the Copier
The first step is to plug the photocopier power cable into the power source. Locate the power button on the device and press it once to turn on the machine. Since copiers have more than one button, ensure you’re pressing the right button to avoid putting the device into sleep mode.
Before proceeding to the next step, it’s essential to ensure the paper tray has sufficient papers in it. If it’s empty, fill the plate with papers by cautiously putting them onto the tray and proceed to the next step.
- Place Document on the Photocopier
The following step is to lift the copier’s lid and place the material you want to duplicate on the glass surface of the machine. The material should be rested on a glass surface facing downward. Strictly observe the guide marks on the glass to position the document accurately. Upon placing the document, close the photocopier lid.
- Choose the Number of Copies Needed
The next step is to choose the number of copies you need. The device features a digital number display and a group of plus and minus buttons used to adjust the number of copies.
- Select the Color Preference
Now, decide whether you need colored or black and white copies. Every copier has a button designated for color selection. Press the button to choose your preferred color.
- Select Paper Size
Once you have chosen your preferred color, the next step is to select the appropriate paper size.
- Press the Copy Button
Locate the “copy” button on the machine, press it, and reproduce copies.
