Jonas Kahnwald just got back from the mental organization after his father, Michael Kahnwald passed away and his mother, Ines Kahnwald hides away his suicide note.
The sudden disappearance of Mikkel interlinked with the Nuclear Power Plant of Winden and the four families: Tiedemann, Doppler, Kahnwald and Neilsen. While investigating the case of Mikkel’s kidnapping, the police cop Ulrich Neilsen finds some strange insights related with every one of these four families and how they are interconnected with each other for a long time.
Ulrich discovers that his sibling Mads Neilsen disappeared in the same way in 1953. A stranger provides Jonas some insights about a wormhole in the cave that lets anybody travel 33 years back previously or 33 years forward later on Apocalypse. The police track down a dead body while looking for Mikkel. The dead body was with draining ears and burned eyes that isn’t of Mikkel but is of Mads who disappeared in 1953. Jonas gets a letter that shows that his father Michael was actually Mikkel who accidentally travelled back to 1986 and married Hannah. They gave birth to Jonas and committed suicide now.
To bring Mikkel in the present time, Jonas chooses to find that wormhole and travel back in an opportunity to know reality. The disappearance of the other two people Erik, a Drug Dealer and Yasin, Elisabeth Doppler’s friend let Ulrich accept that Helge Doppler, the Father-In law of his supervisor Charlotte Doppler and Priest Noah is associated with every puzzling kidnapping from 1986 to 2019. The Stranger meets H.G. Tannhaus to fix the time-travel machine so the Stranger can decimate the wormhole.
Noah confesses to Bartosz in 2019 that Claudia Tiedermenn, Regina’s mother is the real enemy who sent Jonas purposely into the wormhole. Jonas was transported from 1986 to 2052 in Winden. Mikkel was still caught in 1986 & Erik and Yasin killed and left in 1956.

Who are Adam and Eve in Dark? Which one of them is the genuine Evil?
Adam and Eve are the future variants of Jonas and Martha individually. After bringing Jonas to the imaginary world, alt-Martha gets pregnant with his child. As a child from both universes, their kids and grandkids formed the genealogical tree of the four families. Adam and Eve come to know that their youngster will be the extension between these two worlds and the beginning of this knot. In order to destroy the bridge, Adam doesn’t want the birth of his child and in this way in one reality kills pregnant Martha.
Eve/Martha wants to ensure her child and accordingly protect the knot by controlling with people. Thus, the child born and after growing up, attempts to safeguard the knot by killing and controlling people.
Adam did not know that when Apocalypse occurs, time stops for a fraction of seconds and one can make many timelines during that period. Martha knew about it and made two timelines: One in which she brings back Jonas to the alt-universe and the other in which Bartosz prevents Martha from saving Jonas. Eve needs both variants to protect the knot and keep her son alive.
Since Martha uses people for her motivation to save the knot, and that is the reason every killings occurs, we can say Martha is the actual Evil of Dark.

Dark Season 3 Ending Explained!
The ending of Dark Season 3 portrays how Jonas and alt-Martha lastly destroy the beginning knot with the help of Claudia, who discovers that apart from the two universes of Jonas and alt-Martha, there should be a third universe too, which is the beginning mark of this loop. In this origin universe, H.G Tannaus lost his family in a mishap in 1970 and to bring them back, he developed the time machine in 1986 which made these other two universes and the knot. In order to end the knot and the other two universes, it should be required that the Tannaus family endures that accident, so he doesn’t create that machine.
Claudia gives this data to Adam and requests that he prevent Tannhaus from making the machine by saving his family in that accident. Prior to the Apocalypse, Adam arrives where Jonas was grieving on Martha’s demise and asks him for help. This version of Jonas shows up in the timeline where Bartosz prevents Martha from saving Jonas. Then, he and Alt-Martha travel in 1970 utilizing his time machine to save the Tannhaus family from the mishap. As his family lives, Tannhaus does not assemble the machine and the other two universes and all the persons engaged with that knot, counting Jonas and Martha decreases.
Dark Season 3 closes with joy where Hannah is pregnant with Woller’s child and chooses to keep their child’s name “Jonas”. It leaves us thinking “Is this the part of Another Cycle” or it is only recognition for Jonas to show whatever occurs, Jonas will exist and possibly carries on with a tragedy free life now.
