This makes it difficult for your opponent to send those moving pieces into the pockets. This can also be played to pocket your pieces but generally, people use this trick to outsmart their opponents.
Middle Shot
You can play this shot whenever you find two pieces lying close to each other. You try to hit the striker exactly in the vacant space between the two pieces, so it hits both of the pieces at once and they move in opposite directions towards the pockets. If you play this shot correctly, you can even pocket both of the pieces in one shot.
Double Shot
A double shot can be played if the game piece is placed on the opposite side of the board. In this shot, you don’t have to hit the middle of the game piece but slightly to its left or right.
