Wheels and his mother packed bags and returned to the Bronks. There he got a job at a restaurant. Wheels also joined a real gym and started lift some heavy weight. He paid his gym membership with his salary of working in restaurant. 

He was only 18 years old when he participated in his very first competition of weightlifting. He entered the 275-pound weight class he his weight was only 247 pounds that time. And yes, he won, he defeated all the other guys who were even he heavier then wheels.
