Storyline: The NYPD’s 99th area sees Raymond Holt turn into its lead chief. Things don’t look so pleasant when very quickly, he conflicts with Jake Peralta.

A juvenile, childish adult; more like the personality of a baby stuck in the body of an adult, Jake and Holt develop the feelings of moment dislike for each other. Jake, even after being a kid at heart, had the minds of a brainiac.

An excellent criminal investigator with amazing critical thinking abilities, it is practically difficult to discard him out of the group. Charles Boyle gets shot in the butt when he was attempting to save Detective Rosa Diaz, who was his accomplice.

Charles had an apparently subtle grudge against Holt. The NYPD squad gets welcome to Holt’s humble home to a gathering coordinated by him and his husband Kevin and gets an inside scoop into his life.  

Charles also gets into a relationship with another lady Vivian, which is shockingly short-lived and ends when their engagement gets cancelled.  

Peralta begins to develop romantic feelings for his investigator co-partner, Amy Santiago when he wins a bet against her which was essentially them going on a fake date where they ended up making some incredible memories in fact.

Jake begins to date a cop, Teddy she knew before Jake, which makes Peralta envious. At last, we see Peralta going undercover.

Storyline: In the last season, we saw Jake go undercover to bring the mafia down. When he gets back to the area he returns disheartened because one of the mobsters effectively figures out how to escape from his grip.  

He goes into a romantic relationship with a defence lawyer, Sophia Perez but their relationship is just short and gets over quite soon because of the difference in their professions.  

In this season, we see Amy and Teddy split up because of personal reasons. Holt keeps on facing the conflict of wits with Deputy Commissioner Madeleine Wuntch.

It ends up with Wuntch naming Raymond Holt as the head of the NYPD Public Affairs Division. Charles and Gina were in a secret affair but the cat has been let out of the bag coincidentally, carrying their affair to public notice.

Storyline: Jake and Amy share a kiss. Peralta and Santiago finally choose to quit fooling around each other and seek a genuine relationship.

The Nine-Nine region gets another chief to class them over Seth Dozerman. Things don’t remain silly any longer when Seth dies of a cardiovascular failure after seeing Jake and Amy share a kiss.

They set a motivation behind cancelling their wedding, even after being engaged for long.

Jake and Amy move in together into a loft and then go into a bet whose terms where whichever of them gets the most number of criminals, will keep the apartment eventually.

Things take a turn when Gina gets almost fatally hit by a bus and then discovers that she is pregnant with a Boyle cousin’s child, Milton. In her pregnant state and turbulent incidents, she saves the 99th region from closing down too.

Terry turns into a victim of racial profiling. Jake and Rosa compete neck to neck to get a spot on Lt. Hawkins’ team. Hawkins ends up being a fraud cop who was accustomed to playing dirty, on account of when he framed both Peralta and Rosa for bank robbery.
