Summary

The first seasons introduce a comic character Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a sheriff deputy who awakens from a coma after being shot, in a post-apocalyptic world that is full of flesh-eating zombies, called “walkers”. He decides to get back to Georgia, his homeland to meet his wife Lori, and son Carl. While going back to his homeland, he makes three new acquaintances, Merle, T-Dogg, and Glenn and heads off to CDC in hopes of finding a cure to get rid of the dangerous situation. The scientist says that the cure doesn’t exist and commits suicide. Jacqui also commits suicide but leaves Rick with some important information about the Zombies. The Walking Dead Season 2 Summary and Index

Summary

The gang heads to the farm of elderly doctor Hershel after Carl is accidentally shot and Carol’s daughter Sophia goes missing. Doctor Hershel lives with his two daughters Maggie and Beth. Carl was shot by Otis who was eventually left for dead by Shane. Carl recovers from his wounds and Lori discovers that she is pregnant. Maggie and Glenn start a love relationship. Glenn discovers that where they were living is filled with captive walkers. Upon opening the barn, Sophia was killed by Rick when he finds that Sophia is dead and converted into a zombie. About the Series

The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series that is based on the comic book series of the same name. The book was written by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard as they together wrote the franchise of the book. The series features a huge cast of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who are trying to stay alive under continuous threat of attacks from zombies who are known as “walkers”. The lead character of the series was Rick Grimes played by Andrew Lincoln until the ninth season. The show is produced by AMC studios in the state of Georgia and most filming took place in other outdoor spaces. The series first premiered on 31 October 2010 and was broadcasted on channel AMC in the United States and internationally through Fox Networks and Disney+.

The Walking Dead was nominated for Best New Series in 2011 by the Writers Guild of America Awards. It was also nominated for Best Television series at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. It received six nominations for the 37th Saturn awards including for best television presentation, Andrew Lincoln for best actor, Sarah Wayne Callies for best actress, Steven Yeun for the best-supporting actor, and Laurie Holden for best-supporting actress. It was also named one of the top 10 television programs by the American film institute awards in 2010.
